Artist

Aaliah Lait.

Aaliah Lait is a London-based creative and the local artist behind FORAGED.

Artist statement and biography

Her practice brings together fashion, visual arts and a developing interest in interior and spatial design. Years of immersion in garments, textiles, makeup, illustration and boutique environments have shaped a considered eye for colour, materiality and human connection. She resides in the area around FORAGED’s Stanley Gardens base in Notting Hill.

My work is grounded in the belief that luxury is not simply about appearance. It is about atmosphere, care, materiality and the stories people carry with them. I bring this perspective to styling, visual merchandising, fashion illustration and my continuing exploration of interior and spatial design.

— Aaliah Lait

Materials and spatial practice

The weight of a textile, the balance of a room and the way colour changes a feeling all belong to Aaliah Lait’s creative vocabulary. Her work in styling, visual merchandising and fashion illustration informs an approach that values texture, proportion and visual composition.

FORAGED carries this material-led perspective into flowers. Sculptural line, organic asymmetry and seasonal texture are considered in relation to the person or place the arrangement will join—not simply as a list of stems.

Approach to luxury

For Aaliah Lait, luxury is more than appearance. Atmosphere, care and the stories people bring to an experience matter alongside the material itself. She aims for work that feels tactile, balanced and quietly memorable.

That perspective gives a floral brief a useful starting point: the recipient, the feeling of an occasion, the character of a room and the small practical details that make an experience feel considered. It leaves space for both visual intention and a thoughtful human conversation.

Studio and consultations

FORAGED works from a home-based studio in Stanley Gardens and currently accepts delivery requests in W10 and W11. It is not a walk-in shop. A brief can begin with a colour, a room, the personality of a recipient or the feeling of a gathering.

For a bespoke piece, intimate wedding, corporate event or regular business flowers, a complimentary 15-minute consultation request starts the conversation. Scope, seasonal materials, availability and any quotation are agreed with the studio. Selected consultation times remain requests until confirmed.

Her artistic journey

An eye shaped by fashion and visual arts

Her creative perspective has been shaped by years of immersion in garments, textiles, makeup artistry, fashion illustration and boutique retail environments. Across these disciplines, she is drawn to the quieter details: the weight of a fabric, the balance of a composition and the way colour changes a feeling.

Study across creative disciplines

Her studies include Interior Design and Spatial Studies at KLC School of Design, Makeup Artistry and Visual Styling at Hammersmith College, Fashion Publishing, Fashion Illustration, and specialist creative and styling methodologies. This breadth brings clothing, surfaces, visual storytelling and the experience of a space into one creative conversation.

A considered, personal experience

Boutique retail and personalised client experience have informed her sensitivity to the human side of creative work. Fluent in English and Arabic, she values warm, considered experiences for people from different backgrounds, responding to the person as carefully as the garment, visual concept or physical space.

Continuing into interiors and spatial design

Alongside her fashion and visual work, she is developing her interest in interior and spatial design through ongoing study and independent projects. Her approach considers how fashion, lifestyle and physical environments can work together to feel harmonious, sensory and human.
